A Request from a Phonics Professional...
Please... it's this:
"You get what you get, and you don't get upset."
Not this:
"You get what you get, and you don't throw a fit."
(Get is usually pronounced "git".)
Hearing the difference between those two vowel sounds is a big deal for beginning readers and writers.
Crabby? Maybe. Fastidious? You bet. But it's just one of those things on "my list" today...
